Over The Counter Whitening Products

Over-the-counter (OTC) whitening products are a great way to start if you are new to tooth whitening. They are a lower concentration of active ingredient (usually some form of peroxide, 3-9% concentration) and will give a gradual result. Normally the treatment is 2 to 4 weeks in length and is reasonably inexpensive ($25-50). Many patients are very happy with the results and require no further treatment. Because of its low concentration of peroxide many patients have little to no sensitivity following treatment. This is a great way to get your feet wet with cosmetic dentistry; its nearly risk-free and won’t cost you an arm and a leg.
